MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Applications are open for the 26th annual JWAS Scholarship for children between two and a half and five years old.
The JWAS Scholarship, named for Jaxson William Augustus Swank, a boy who passed before the age of two, assists up to four children each year with academic tuition from preschool through to higher education.
Applications are open from Monday, Sept. 15 through to Wednesday, Oct. 30., with the recipients expected to be notified in December.
ABC57 Morning Anchor Summer Horan sat down with Jeanie Shuck, the executive director of the JWAS Foundation, to discuss how this scholarship is possible and who is eligible.
