ANOTHER round of strong storms possible early this afternoon

After a day filled with wild weather Tuesday, filled with baseball-sized hail, flash flooding, and a high-impact straight-line wind event, Wednesday is starting off much quieter. There will be some patchy dense fog early this morning.

I take no joy in saying this, but ANOTHER round of showers and thunderstorms will move through Michiana early this afternoon. The timing on storms is eerily similar to yesterday. From about noon to 4 pm, damaging straight-line winds, heavy rain, and isolated tornadoes are possible.

Now, there are some differences with today's thunderstorms vs yesterday's round. Today DOES NOT LOOK TO BE AS STRONG. However, there is concern that our forecast models might be underdoing the severity of storms. Also, storms might move slightly south of where they did yesterday. Our target for our thunderstorms has already formed in South Dakota and Nebraska, and we'll be tracking those all morning long.

Today: Foggy morning. More strong storms around lunchtime. High 80.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Stray storm possible. Low 64.

Tomorrow: Scattered storms later in the day. High 78.

Friday: Cloudy in the morning, then clearing out by the afternoon. High 80.
