Another frigid day with wind chills well into the negatives

NOW: Another frigid day with wind chills well into the negatives

A wind chill warning is in effect for all of Michiana throughout the morning, expiring at noon. Expect air temperatures starting in the negatives until this afternoon, wind chills start around 20 to 30 degrees below zero. This afternoon, highs barely reach above zero with feels-like temperatures staying mostly in the negative-teens. More clouds will be moving in, we likely won't get as much sunshine as yesterday although we could still see some. Most of Michiana stays dry, but Berrien Co. could see a few more lake effect snow showers, especially this morning. With road salts remaining largely ineffective due to the cold temps, icy roads will still be an issue in addition to snow blowing over roadways. Your commute anytime today will be slow-going, make sure to pack your patience and give yourself plenty of extra time to get where you need to go. Lows fall into the negatives once again tonight, and tomorrow will bring another frigid wake-up and day to follow. This cold stays in the forecast until we start to warmup again mid-week, highs will be in the upper teens again Wednesday. For the end of the week, we're tracking the chance for snow showers to return.

Today: Bitter Cold. Partly to mostly cloudy. High 3.
Tonight: Bitter cold. Mostly cloudy. Low -4.
Tuesday: Bitter Cold. Partly cloudy. High 3.
Wednesday: Warmer. Partly cloudy. High 18.
