SAINT JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The Head Men's Basketball Coach at Ancilla College and Assistant Coach at Marian High School is on the road to recovery following a serious crash.

According to a Facebook post and a GoFundMe started by his daughter Nevaeh, Brian Foster was severely injured following a crash involving a semi-truck Friday night.

As of Sunday, the Foster family reports he underwent a major surgery and is in a coma.

On the GoFundMe page, Nevaeh writes:

"As our family focuses on being by his side and supporting his recovery, we are facing unexpected expenses, lost income, and ongoing daily needs during this difficult time. My dad has impacted so many as a coach, teacher, mentor, husband, and father, and we appreciate every prayer, share, and donation."

ABC57 News has reached out to police to learn more details about the crash.
