SOUTH BEND, Ind.—The South Bend Cubs Den has been preparing for Tuesday’s All-Star Game for months by ordering special merchandise.
Merchandise manager Mary Lou Pallo says the store has everything from t-shirts and hats to game balls, jerseys and pencils.
“We’ve been waiting all year for this week and we are super excited,” Pallo said.
Pallo says the store has been ordering merchandise since September.
“Obviously our local fans and season ticket holders are as excited as we are to be hosting and to be a part of this but we’ve got a lot of people coming in from out of town, so that’s exciting,” Pallo said. “We get to show off the stadium to people who’ve never been here.”
The Cubs Den will have extended hours for the Midwest League All-Star Game and Fan Fest.
On Monday and Tuesday, the store will open at 9 a.m. and will be open during the Fan Fest and Home Run Derby events on Monday as well as the All-Star Game on Tuesday.
