“Adult Retro Recess” brings recess favorites to Howard Park for Adults night out

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Venues Parks & Arts (VPA) is encouraging adults 21+ to lace up the sneakers, do a few stretches, and get a group of friends together for an adults-only night out on October 29 from 6-9pm at Howard Park.

“Adult Retro Recess” promises to deliver nostalgic, old-school recess favorites including kickball, dodgeball, roller skating, cornhole and other yard games.

“This is something totally new and we can’t wait for adults to have a night out with us,” said Howard Park Manager, Danica Kulemeka. “Howard Park isn’t just a fun park for kids!”

For a little sugar rush, a donut wall will be available within the playground area.

The free event is open for adults 21+ and will also include food trucks, a bar area and open space to enjoy a variety of games.

Throwback recess attire is optional but recommended for the ultimate experience.
