ABC57 receives 4 Emmy nominations for stories, coverage

ABC57 News is proud to announce that we earned four Emmy nominations Monday night from the Chicago Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.  

The nominations that were announced were:

Our First Warning Neighborhood Weather Team earned a nod for Project Tornado in the Outstanding Achievement for Children’s Programming category.

Our news staff is also nominated for Outstanding News Programming – Michiana’s Winter Whiteout.

A third nomination was for ABC57’s News Operations Manager Eric Bellinger, evening Anchor Colleen Bormann and Executive Producer Kyle Fobe under Topical Documentary for “Restore the Roar” about the Benton Harbor High School Football team.

Chief Meteorologist Tom Coomes and Kyle Fobe were also nominated for Skyline Skepticism about a mirage of the Chicago skyline that can be seen on the shores of Michigan.

Our reporters, producers, meteorologists, anchors and all those who contributed did a great job with their coverage and stories. Congratulations to the nominees at ABC 57!
