Scattered showers this morning become steadier and more widespread in the early afternoon as highs still muster their way to the mid 50s. As a surface low moves in from western IL later today, there is a moderate chance for a thunderstorm or two amidst light rain showers in the evening. Lows move to the mid 40s tonight while showers persist, not departing significantly from tomorrow's temperatures in the low 50s. Wednesday will be rainy for most of the day until an overnight post frontal passage, dropping temperatures below freezing. A change over from rain to snow takes place late tomorrow night, giving way to brief lake-enhanced snow showers early Thursday morning with no major impacts on that morning's commute. The second half of Thursday is chilly but sunny.
Today: Rain. High 55.
Tonight: Showers. Low 46.
