Sunny Monday ahead, but showers and thunderstorms later this...
Today is the day. System snow will continue to fall this morning, bringing about 1-3” across Michiana. Then, by the afternoon, the system pushes off to our east, shifting the wind out of the north and northwest, starting the lake effect snow. This will continue for the rest of the afternoon through early Sunday morning. We could still see about 3-6”, mainly west of Hwy 31 and north of Hwy 30. But, Sunday itself should be dry.
Chances for more accumulating snow pick back up Monday afternoon, Monday night, and Tuesday as another system/lake effect event looks to move in. Some smaller chances for snow continue for the rest of the work week.
Saturday: Snowy and breezy. High of 31.
Tonight: Snow slowly ending. Low of 18.
Sunday: Partly sunny becoming mostly cloudy. High of 31.
Monday: Cloudy with snow possible. Highs in the mid-30s.
