South Bend man to spend 15 years in prison for possessing several pounds of meth

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A 51-year-old South Bend man will spend over a decade in jail after pleading guilty to Possessing with Intent to Distribute 500 Grams or More of a Mixture and Substance Containing Methamphetamine.

The United States Attorney’s Office Northern District of Indiana reports Keith Jennings has been sentenced to 15 years in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release.

According to court documents, on Sept. 15, 2025, police made a traffic stop on a truck Jennings was driving. During the stop a drug K9 alerted authorities to possible drugs in the vehicle.

Officers searched and located 2,128.5 grams of methamphetamine in the backseat area, which is nearly 5 lbs.
