NEW PARIS, Ind. -- Smoker Craft, Inc. made the decision on Thursday to postpone the ribbon-cutting ceremony for their new facilities out of concern for the passing of Congresswoman Jackie Walorski, who was killed in a car crash on Wednesday.
Congresswoman Walorski was set to speak at the grand opening, which was initially scheduled for Friday at 11:15 a.m.
According to R. Yoder Construction, Smoker Craft, Inc. intends to host the opening of their new facilities at a later date out of respect for Congresswoman Walorski and her family.
Details are set to be released in the coming weeks as Smoker Craft, Inc. will work with U.S. Senator, Todd Young, and County Commissioner for Elkhart County, Susie Weirick, to finalize the new details.
