Ignition Music Garage previews new self-titled Weezer album for local fans

GOSHEN, Ind. -- Weezer fans gathered at Ignition Music Garage to preview the band's new self-titled album, nicknamed the "Gold Album"

The listening party led fans sing along, bob their heads, and throw up the band's hand sign ahead of its release on Aug. 21.

"This is fabulous exposure and just really you know helps to bring people in and I mean records are cool," said Buckley Watson, a shopkeeper at Ignition Music Garage.

Fans said listening to the new album allowed them to feed off each other's energy, "I've been a fan of them since I was 14, I wanted to get together and be around other people that enjoy the same music as me and figure out and find out what they think about the new album," said Christian Lozada Rivas, a Weezer fan.

The event included a raffle giveaway, a T-shirt and hoodie, bumper stickers, and posters, with one attendee handing out handmade Weezer-themed bracelets to fellow fans.

"I've met some really cool people today that came to this event that were like, Oh, thank you for supporting Weezer," said Watson.
