MIAMI -- Fifty-eight players in the championship game were born in Florida, with nine of them being Hoosiers, including Heisman Winner Fernando Mendoza from Miami.
Since this game is technically a home game for Miami, tickets have really skyrocketed, with them being 44 percent more expensive than 2025's game.
The average ticket is over $4,000. ABC57's Talia Baia expected a Hurricane takeover, but Hoosier nation showed up big.
This fanbase is experiencing something the Hoosiers have never done before. They're competing for a national championship and attempting to complete a perfect 16 and 0 season, something that hasn't been done since 1894 by the Yale Bulldogs.
