Golf cart and bicycle crash, both driven by minors

St. Joseph County Police Department SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- On Aug. 24, a golf cart driven by a 12-year-old crashed into a 10-year-old bike rider.
The bicyclist went through the windshield of the golf cart near Adams and Gumwood Roads. Both had minor injuries.
St. Joseph County police say they are aware golf carts are being driven on public roads and want to remind citizens that it is illegal. Golf carts are not allowed on any roadways or sidewalks in St. Joseph County.
As with e-bikes, police will continue to stop and educate citizens about these rules and regulations.
