ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Municipal Airport celebrates with a ribbon cutting upon the new renovations, including repainted runways and new hanger facilities.
"It's a relief really, but we have one more phase to go, we have to paint the remaining portion of the airfield, most runways have been painted but now it's time for the taxiways." says Elkhart Municipal Airport Director, Andy Jones.
The airport was successful in getting a grant to pay for 1.5M dollars of the improvements, so the city did not have to put much money into the project.
