NOW: Comfortable temperature brings life to the Elkhart Jazz Festival

ELKHART, Ind. -- The 38th Annual Elkhart Jazz Festival concludes its third day of music throughout the city's Main Street corridor.

The four-day event, presented by the Elkhart County Convention and Visitors Bureau, featured performers ranging from local and regional acts to national headliners at the historic Lerner Theatre.

Elkhart Jazz Festival does provide completely free and ticketed shows in six different locations.

A longtime Elkhart resident Philip said the festival is a community gathering point.

"It brings everybody together, and everybody's friendly and courteous, so I think it's a good thing for people to be together this time, you know. Everything going on in this world right now. We need this, we need this."

The last day of the festival is June 21, with the headline of the day being Grammy-winning producer John Pizzarelli.

Pizzarelli is an Elkhart favorite and just released "Dear Mr. Bennett," as a tribute to the late Tony Bennett.
