Colfax Avenue bridge closed for construction starting Aug. 31

ABC 57 SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Starting Monday, Aug. 31, the Colfax Avenue bridge above the St. Joseph River will be closed.
This is part of a bridge rehabilitation project, also including improvements to the intersection of Colfax Avenue and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Depending on weather, the work could be completed near the end of February 2027.
