Case dismissed against suspect in Leland Avenue shooting

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- 36-year-old Adrian Pope, who was arrested and was facing preliminary charges of battery by means of a deadly weapon and resisting law enforcement, has had his case dismissed.
Pope was arrested in February 2024, in relation to the Leland Avenue shooting.
Pope originally had his next court date, a jury trial, scheduled for June 6, 2024.
