NILES, Mich. -- Last Sunday, 85-year-old Carol Hauch got the chance to fulfill her lifetime wish to see the Chicago Cubs play at Wrigley Field.
A lifetime Cubs fan, the resident of Brentwood at Niles, was also given a tour of the field and had the chance to see the players in batting practice.
Her wish was fulfilled through the program, Wish of a Lifetime, a charitable affiliate of AARP.
This program seeks to give joy to older adults through personalized experiences.
Hauch said of her experience, "Well, it was just nice talking, you know, to the people there. And it's, you know, you can see how much training, how I mean, when you look at their bodies as to how strong they are too, you know. And you know, they're put a lot into it to make themselves as good as they are. And, yeah, it's, it's really fun to see, to meet them."
