59-year-old South Bend woman sentenced to one year for embezzlement

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The United States Attorney's Office Northern District of Indiana announced 59-year-old Robin Hood, of South Bend, has been sentenced to one year in prison after pleading guilty to wire fraud.

Hood was also given one year of supervised release and was ordered to pay $549,000 in restitution to the victim of the offense.

Court documents state between 2016 and 2021, Hood embezzled at least $549,000 from her employer.

Hood then issued checks to herself and transferred money to herself from her employer’s accounts.
