40-year-old man arrested for driving while intoxicated

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- A 40-year-old man was arrested on the evening of Dec. 16 and charged with Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated Endangering a Person and other charges.

Around 10 p.m., Timothy Nichols was pulled over by a Marshall County sheriff's deputy in the area of US 6 near Michigan Road.

According to the sheriff's department, the deputy found Nichols to be driving without ever obtaining a license and while suspended with a prior conviction, as well as suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia in the car.

Nichols was then taken for a chemical test and booked into the Marshall County Jail.

Nichols has been charged with Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated Endangering a Person, Driving while Suspended Prior, Operating a Vehicle without Ever Obtaining a License with a Prior Conviction, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Nichols was given a $1,505 bond.
