30-year-old man shot in the face while attending party

BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- A 30-year-old man was shot in the right side of the face during a party early Saturday morning, according to Benton Township Police.

Police were dispatched to E. Main and Pine Street for reports of shots fired around 2 a.m.

When they arrived to the area, they located blood on the pavement in the 900 block of E. Main.

A witness told police they were at a party when they heard multiple gunshots. The witness discovered 30-year-old Jermaine Moore had been shot in the face, police said.

The witness transported Moore to a local hospital.

Moore has since been transferred to another hospital for further treatment.

The investigation is ongoing.
