26-year-old man will spend years in prison after guilty plea to drug charge

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A 26-year-old Trail Creek, Ind. man will spend several years in prison following a guilty plea to distrusting drugs, according to the United States Attorney’s Office Northern District of Indiana.

On May 20, Tevin Keyshawn Lewis was sentenced to 5 years in prison followed by 4 years of supervised release.

This comes after Lewis pled guilty to Distributing 40 Grams or More of a Substance Containing a Detectable Amount of Fentanyl.

Court documents reveal Lewis sold blue M30 pills containing fentanyl to another person in Michigan City on four separate occasions between December 2024 and May 2025.

Authorities say during each transaction, Lewis sold at least 50 pills.

Documents state Lewis distributed over 1300 pills across all the transactions.
