17th Annual Lube-A-Thon event taking place at Tom's Car Care Center
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – If you were thinking of going to the car wash or car shop today, save your money and head to Tom’s Car Care Center in South Bend instead!
Tom’s Car Care Center is hosting their 17th annual Lube-A-Thon event today.
The event kicked off at 7am – though cars were in line way before then.
Anyone who makes a $45 minimum donation to the Center for Hospice Care will receive a free car wash, full-service oil change, breakfast or lunch, t-shirt and other goodies – all courtesy of Tom’s Car Care Center. It's also important to note that a standard oil change alone can cost around $45 at times - so this will save you some money!
The Center for Hospice Care will put the money raised towards general funds – much of which is used to cover the costs of treatments for those who could not afford it otherwise.
There are also local vendors with merchandise for sale at the event today. Some items for sale include tumbler cups, natural soaps, car scents and keychains.
Many of the employees with the car care center have worked there for years, and the tradition is something they look forward to every year.
100% of the donations will go to the Center for Hospice Care. Tom’s Car Care Center will not keep any proceeds thanks to a couple of company sponsors.
The event will wrap up at 6pm tonight – so get your car serviced for a good cause today!
