LaPorte County Jail

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- On Monday Oct. 3, 2025, the Michigan City Police Department responded to reports of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash at the Tall Timbers Apartments.

Upon arrival at the scene, MCPD responders saw the victim, Kyle Suarez, was being placed in a La Porte County EMS ambulance where EMS had begun working on life-saving care. Suarez later succumbed to his injuries

Suarez had been hit by his wife's vehicle, a black Chrysler 200.

MCPD spoke with Miranda Eggleston-Suarez, Suarez's wife, on the phone. She told police that Suarez "was on her last nerve" and that she was tired of him. • Voluntary Manslaughter (F2)
  • Failure to Remain at the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Death (F4)
