Expiration dates extended for Michigan driver’s licenses, state ID cards, vehicle registrations

LANSING, Mich.— Governor Gretchen Whitmer extended the renewal dates for driver’s licenses, CDLs, state ID cards and vehicle registrations on Wednesday.

Michigan residents with driver’s licenses or vehicle registrations expiring after March 1, 2020 will now have until September 30, 2020 to renew them.

Vehicle registration renewals can be completed online or at one of the 122 self-service stations located in Michigan.
