Warm weekend; few showers or storms possible

NOW: Warm weekend; few showers or storms possible
NEXT:

It’s going to be a warm weekend. Temperatures today climb close to the 90 degree mark, and it will feel like the low 90s with humidity.

Most of today stays dry. There is a chance for some isolated showers or thunderstorms once we get into the afternoon and evening hours. Watch for a few more storms overnight, then we should be dry by Sunday morning.

Humidity and temperatures will be slightly lower tomorrow.

Sunday is mostly sunny. There is a lower chance for a stray shower or storm Sunday afternoon, but still not out of the question.

Despite storm chances, there should be plenty of time to get outdoors both days this weekend. If you’re going to Lake Michigan to beat the heat, remember that the lifeguards at Silver Beach are no longer on duty for the season. There is a green flag Saturday, but waves increase in size tonight. There is a red flag on Sunday – so don’t plan on a swim.

Heading into the week, it is still hot and humid with temperatures staying near 90 degrees. There are better storm chances Tuesday through Thursday.

Today: Mix of clouds and sun. Isolated afternoon/evening storms. High 89.

Tonight: Isolated storms or showers. Mostly cloudy. Low 68.

Sunday: Mostly sunny. Slight chance for a shower/storm. High 84.

Monday: Mostly sunny. Humid. High 88.
