Vehicle strikes house, causes significant damage

DOWAGIAC, Mich. -- A vehicle struck a house in Dowagiac, causing substantial structural damage, on Wednesday afternoon, according to Dowagiac Police.

Dowagiac Police and Dowagiac Fire responded to the 500 block of West High Street around 4:40 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle, a 47-year-old man from Dowagiac, was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

There were no other injuries in the crash.

Police believe the driver may have suffered a medical event prior to the crash.

Alcohol is not considered a factor in the crash.
