EDWARDSBURG, Mich. - Edwardsburg police say a 50-year-old bicyclist has died after being hit by a vehicle on US 12 between Red Pine Lane and East Shore Drive in Edwardsburg.
It happened just after 7:30 a.m. Thursday near the American Legion post.
Police said the male driver is cooperating with police. His blood work is being sent off for testing, but investigators say they don't believe alcohol or drugs were a factor.
Officers say the victim was not wearing a helmet or safety vest.
US 12 reopened at 10:30 a.m.
Edwardsburg police are asking anyone with information to give them a call.
