Vehicle fire causes traffic disruptions on US 20 near Ironwood exit

ABC 57 SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police Department responded to a call of a vehicle fire involving a pickup truck and trailer in the westbound lanes of US 20.
Around 9:50 a.m., a caller reported a pickup truck with a trailer was fully engulfed in flames in the westbound lanes of US 20 near the Ironwood exit. SBPD shut down the bypass at the Ironwood area exit to westbound traffic while emergency crews respond to the fire.
SBPD is slowly opening the bypass to allow traffic through.
