U.S. 12 resurfacing project in Sturgis starts May 5

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. -- The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and contractor Lakeland Asphalt Corp. will be resurfacing U.S. 12 from M-66 (Centreville Rd.) to Franks Ave. in Sturgis.
The resurfacing project will start on Monday, May 5 and is estimated to end on Thursday, July 3.
There will be single-lane closures between Big Hill Rd. and South Maple St., and between Jacob St. and Broadus Rd.
U.S. 12 will be closed in each direction at night (7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.) between South Maple St. and Jacob Rd. for one week. Detours will be posted.
Traffic on U.S. 12 will have detours on Franks Rd., East Fawn River Rd., and M-66.
Traffic on M-66 will have detours on West Lafayette St., North Clay St. and Memorial Dr.
