The United Auto Worker's Union has 5,000 GM employees in Arlington, Tex. and 6,800 others at a Stellantis plant in Sterling Heights, Mich. walking off the job this week.
The UAW says Stellantis has the worst proposal on the table amid negotiations with the Big Three Detroit carmakers: GM, Stellantis and Ford.
In total, 46,000 auto workers are on strike as the walkout enters its sixth week.
A recent CNN poll found more than 75 percent of Americans support the auto workers on the picket lines, over the car companies.
