Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be creeping into our area after midnight as they develop to the west. When combining the rain-cooled air and smoky skies still dominating Michiana, temperatures will drop into the low 60s for a brisk end to our weekend. Monday will start off damp and smoky as leftover showers make their way out of our region, leaving behind partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the high 70s on Monday. The smoke will get worse before it gets better with the heaviest concentration expected during the middle hours of Monday. Smoke will begin clearing out Monday night as mostly clear skies take over and temperatures retreat back into the low 60/high 50s. Tuesday will be the quietest and most beach-friendly day of the week with high temperatures in the low 80s and mostly sunny skies during the day and another set of low 60s and partly cloudy conditions at night. Rain returns Wednesday as temperatures slightly climb past 80 with precipitation entering the mix Wednesday night in the form of a steady rain.
