Under the Lights: Mishawaka triumphs in regional game against New Prairie
MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Mishawaka starts with the ball and within just 2 plays in, quarterback Landon Snyder keeps the ball and pushes through New Prairie's defensive line. Running all the way to the endzone, scoring the first touchdown of the game, after only a minute of game time.
After a disappointing New Prairie possession, Mishawaka's Landon Snyder hands the ball off to Kadyn O'Neal who almost falls to a tackle but is able to regain his footing. Bringing it home for another touchdown setting the score to Mishawaka 13 - New Prairie 0.
In the 2nd quarter, Mishawaka's Landon Snyder fakes giving the ball to O'Neal and pitches the ball to Jackson Snyder who almost runs it in for the touchdown but is stopped short by New Prairie's Brock Barcevic.
New Prairie's Reed Robinson threw the ball to Hayden Whitenack who receives the catch and not only gets the first down but runs the ball to center field before getting tackled by Mishawaka's Brady Newsome with less than 7 minutes until halftime.
After failing to another first down, New Prairie decides to run the ball on 4th down. Their quarterback Reed Robinson is pushed back several yards by defensive pressure but makes a break for the first down. He tries to leap over Drew Ginter and Kenyariel Clemente but fails and is brought down turning over the ball.
The game ended with a 14-point victory with Mishawaka taking 21 to 7 New Prairie.
