Under the Harvest Moon returns to Dowagiac this October
CASS COUNTY, Mich. – Fall festivities are set to get underway with Under the Harvest Moon returning to Dowagiac on Oct. 9.
Vintage tractors, an open-air antique market, fall produce, Michigan handmade products and delicacies, street entertainment and family activities are all making their way to the area.
On top of food vendors, ax throwing, archery and blacksmith demonstrations will return after being introduced in 2019. A farm animal petting zoo will also take part in the festival, and many more activities will bring the love of fall to Dowagiac.
This year, Steve’s Run Back will also take place during the festival. Held virtually in 2020, the run, hosted by Southwestern Michigan College Athletics, will start the festival off at 8:30 am.
Leading up to Under the Harvest Moon, a scarecrow contest will take place in the Central Business District. Both the public and businesses can take place in the Scarecrows on Parade Contest.
To enter the scarecrow competition or to register for a booth in the open-air marketplace, call (269) 782-8212 or email [email protected].
