Two severely injured following Sunday morning shooting
BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- Benton Township Police are investigating a shooting that injured two people early Sunday morning.
At 2:46 a.m., officers from the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety responded to a shooting in the 1200 block of South M-139.
Upon arrival, officers were told the two victims had taken themselves to the hospital.
Law enforcement quickly secured the scene and apprehended the suspect, a 40-year-old Benton Harbor resident.
The victims, a 49-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man, are being treated for serious injuries but are expected to survive.
Police say the shooting followed an argument.
The suspect is being held at the Berrien County Jail on felony charges.
