Two Cass County cities receive state infrastructure grants

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- Two new state infrastructure grants have been given to the cities of Dowagiac and Cassopolis.

The grants are worth $75,000 each and will benefit city government and non-profit groups; primarily designed to help citizens with home repairs, energy efficiency upgrades and neighborhood amenity improvements.

Both grants have been supplied by the Neighborhood Enhancement Program, a $1.7 million-dollar state investment fund that will be distributed among 33 Michigan communities.

People can expect to see the improvements begin to roll out by the end of the summer and finish by the end of 2022.
