SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- At approximately 6:43 p.m. the South Bend Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire on Miner and Arthur Street.
Three people and a dog were located inside the residence and escorted out safely. One cat is missing from the residence.
The fire was caused when the homeowner had been grilling and left the grill unattended close to the house.
The fire spread from the first floor into the second floor but was contained within 15 minutes.
