The Lerner Theatre showcases Christmas with window installations

ELKHART, Ind. – The Lerner Theatre and Premier Arts have partnered to bring Christmas cheer to Elkhart usually only seen in big city locales. Themed window installations will delight with the holiday spirit until New Year’s Day.

The theatre says that the inspiration for their window scenes plays off the big city window displays seen at Marshall Field’s.

Being celebrated as a new annually occurring event, the Lerner kicks off things with a classic theme; Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.

Viewable from Main Street in downtown Elkhart, the scenic views will also feature music as part of the exhibit.

In total, there will be five window displays that recall the iconic tale of misfits finding their place.

“Christmas at The Lerner Theatre is so magical. When we made the decision to close The Lerner to events through the end of 2020 due to COVID-19, we still wanted to bring the spirit of Christmas for all to enjoy. We hope that this will become an annual tradition for our community, to come enjoy the Christmas story displays on the exterior of The Lerner,” said Michelle Frank, Executive Director of The Lerner Theatre.

Children are encouraged to bring a letter to Santa by December 10th, as there will be an outdoor mailbox sponsored by the Elkhart Education Foundation. Letters in the box by the 10th receive a response.
