Democratic candidates for Elkhart mayor to debate on April 16

ELKHART, Ind. -- On Tuesday, April 16, the Elkhart Public Library will be holding a debate for the two democrats running in the Elkhart mayoral primary.

The candidates, Ashley Boling Molyneaux and Rod Roberson, will participate in the debate ahead of the May 7 primary election.

Iechyd Da Brewing Company, located at 317 N. Main St. in Elkhart, will house the debate that will feature a media panel.

ABC57’s Brian Conybeare will be a moderator for the conversation, along with IUSB’s Dr. Elizabeth Bennion.

The debate will take place from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the brewery and the public is encouraged to stay after to meet with the candidates.

ABC57 News is calling for the public to submit their questions for the debate.

The winner of the May primary will go on to face Republican Dave Miller in the November general election.
