Temporary shutdown of Michigan’s Bridge Card system October 16-17

Michigan’s Bridge Card system will be temporarily shut down this weekend for a system upgrade.

Michiganders who use Bridge Cards to buy food or use cash assistance benefits will be unable to do so from approximately 11 p.m. on Saturday to 11 a.m. on Sunday.

The system will be shut down while it switches to Fidelity Information Systems, which will be the new Electronic Benefit Transfer provider for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

This upgrade is the next step from a previous attempt to switch systems in August, when technical issues created delays.
