Teen arrested for residential entry and attempted escape

ST JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind.- - St Joseph County Police responded to a call at approximately 3:12 a.m. on Sunday regarding a teen breaking and entering into a residence near Holy Cross College.
Two residents were inside when an individual later identified as 19-year-old Alexis Moro entered their apartment through a ground floor window and proceeded to enter their bedrooms.
According to the report the two residents inside spoke with officers saying, "this had happened before and that the college, Holy Cross, was aware of the issue."
When police responded, Moro had already fled the premises and was later found and identified in a vehicle nearby. He was transported to the hospital for medical clearance and was arrested.
According to St Joseph County Police "While leaving the hospital and with his hands cuffed behind his back, Moro attempted to flee from police. After a short foot chase Moro was apprehended."
Alex Moro was then transported to St Joseph County Jail and is charged with attempted escape and residential entry.
