FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Notre Dame’s win over Purdue quieted the critics a little, but social media still had plenty to say heading into game day. And it turns out defensive coordinator Chris Ash isn’t the only one in the hot seat.

Even after the victory, fans blasted Ash for giving up 30 points to an unranked team. Head coach Marcus Freeman didn’t hold back either, calling for sharper execution at his postgame press conference.

Down south, Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman is facing even more heat. One fan even paid for a billboard urging his firing, while reporters pressed him about his track record.

It’s not all negative though. Irish fans are buzzing about the running back duo Jadarian Price and Jeremiyah Love, especially with Price leading the nation in kickoff return average. Quarterback C.J. Carr is also winning praise, with some calling him better than Arch Manning after his highlight throw to Malachi Fields.

And yes—fans are even debating which town is better: South Bend or Fayetteville. The verdict? Both sides are fired up.

My take? Nothing beats college towns. Each has its charm. As for Chris Ash, I see growing pains but also potential. This is a must-win game: one team risks a third straight loss, the other could see playoff hopes slip away.
