SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- As part of the Best Week Ever celebration, the city of South Bend hosted their first-ever Sweat the City event.
On Tuesday, at the Jefferson Bridge in downtown South Bend, the fitness focused event provided a fun way to exercise with the community all while learning from different fitness providers and their services, activities, and demonstrations.
The world-renowned Jesse White Tumblers performed for guests during the event.
"We wanted something fitness focused, got people outside, got people moving, and show all the fun ways to sweat throughout their city.' Said Special Events Coordinator at BPA, Hannah Van Hoof.
Food trucks and drink vendors were on site keeping guests fueled throughout the night.
Different types of exercises such as jump roping, burpees, and even boxing were implemented in the workout.
Best Week Ever continues on Wednesday with their Best Wednesday Ever. Located on Western Avenue, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., the event will celebrate South Bend's West Side neighborhood and local businesses with food and drinks, family activities, incredible live music and more.
