Suspect arrested after stabbing on E. Calvert Street

SOUTH BEND, Ind.—A suspect was arrested Friday after an early morning stabbing in South Bend, according to police.

Around 5:30 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of E. Calvert Street regarding a stabbing.

Officers at the scene found one victim who was then taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect was located a half of a block away from the scene.

Police said the suspect was arrested for aggravated assault with a knife.
