ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast

Sunday, February 19th , 2023

We've had a pleasant stretch of nice weather so far this weekend and we are not done yet! Tonight will be chilly but clear with lows across Michiana bottoming out in the low 30s. Monday will continue the streak of sunshine but will be a few degrees cooler coming in at the high 40s. Conditions start to slightly deteriorate on Tuesday as more clouds roll into the area, causing temperatures to drop into the high 30s. We will see our first indication of precipitation late Tuesday night as a tendril of snow sneaks across Lake Michigan and into Michiana. Although little accumulation is expected from this initial snowfall, the snow will be a prelude of what is to come on Wednesday. Rain will be most common in the southern half of Michiana with most places expecting around an inch of rain, but a wintry mix is possible. The IN-MI state-line area will see the most mixed precipitation and freezing rain, resulting in the greatest chance for icy roads and general travel impacts. North of the state line will be predominantly snow but could see some mixing as well. Wind gusts will be 35+ mph in most places at some points on Wednesday, but regions along the lake could see gusts upward of 45+ mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy. Low 31.

Monday: Partly cloudy. High 46.

Tuesday: Cloudy. High 38.

Wednesday: Wintry mix with high wind gust values. High 42.
