Starke County crash leaves two motorcyclists injured, airlifted to hospital
ABC 57 STARKE COUNTY, Ind. -- According to the Starke County Sherif's Office, at approximately 5:08 p.m. on Monday, March 9, officers responded to a personal injury crash at the intersection of US Highway 35 and C.R. 250 South.
Upon arrival, responders determined the crash involved a black 2025 Chevrolet Silverado and a maroon 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
The investigation indicates the Chevrolet Silverado was traveling southbound on US Highway 35 and attempted to turn east onto C.R. 250 South.
The vehicle turned into the path of the northbound Harley-Davidson, resulting in a collision. Both occupants of the motorcycle were ejected upon impact.
Due to injuries sustained in the crash, both motorcycle occupants were airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend by Lutheran Air and Samaritan Air for treatment. The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the Starke County Sheriff’s Office.
