St. Vincent de Paul attempts to receive grant to provide children's bedding
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Joseph County’s Sweet Dreams Ministry was selected among 200 finalists in the State Farm Neighborhood Assist grant program.
Running through Friday, the public can vote for their favorite causes with the program, with the top 100 causes receiving a $25,000 grant.
The Sweet Dreams Ministry is currently ranked #31 in this lineup. Their selected cause is providing children in the community with new mattresses and bedding supplies. They have provided 437 beds to St. Joseph County children since 2017.
“The State Farm Neighborhood Assist grant is a huge opportunity for our organization to bring awareness to the issue of bedlessness. We get calls every day from people requesting beds for their children,” said the Society’s Executive Director Anne Watson.
In order to vote and allow the cause to win $25K, you can visit www.neighborhoodassist.com and search for “Sweet Dreams Ministry” or visit the Society’s website.
You can cast 10 votes per day on a single email address.
Voting ends Friday at 11:59 p.m. Winners will be announced on June 7.
