SOUTH BEND, Ind. – St. Margaret’s House will hold their annual Winter Walk on February 16 in South Bend. The walk will raise money for women and children in the community who are in need.
St. Margaret’s House says everyone in the community is invited to join in on a one mile walk through the City. They say the proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards providing programs and services for struggling women and children.
In addition to showing support for the women and children of St. Margaret's House, the Winter Walk also symbolizes their everyday means of transportation – traveling by foot.
Registration for the Winter Walk will begin at 1:30 p.m. along with a short rally at the County City Building in downtown South Bend.
Hot chocolate, cookies and popcorn will be provided at St. Margaret’s House after the walk.
ABC57's Emily Kennedy and Vahid Sadrzadeh will be hosting the event.
