Special prosecutor may be appointed in Diamond Lake sandbar party

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Prosecutor's office has requested a special prosecutor be appointed in connection with the June 20 and July 4 incidents on Diamond Lake due to a conflict of interest.

The prosecutor's office filed the request with the Attorney General's office on Monday.

Cass County's prosecutor says he has a long-standing affiliation with one of the lake associations involved.
